AMANDA MARTENS

Amanda Martens is a graduate of UNT and holds her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She has her teaching certificate and has 7 years of experience teaching general music and choir at elementary and middle schools in San Antonio and DFW. She teaches voice, piano, and music theory, and specializes in teaching classical, musical theatre, and jazz voice. She loves to sing and act, and has performed in over 20 productions in DFW. Some of her favorite roles include Sleeping Beauty (Theatre Britain), Cosette in Les Miserables (Sherman Community Players), and Mary Poppins (Theatricks). She has performed professionally with the Dallas Opera chorus, Six Flags Over Texas, and the Texas Star Dinner Theatre in Grapevine. In her free time, she loves to paint, hike, travel, and hang out with her two cats, Hugo and Stormy.
