Ukulele
The ukulele is a 4-stringed instrument stemming from lute instruments. It originated in Hawaii. Some may think it looks like a smaller guitar as the shape is similar. However, the ukulele has 4 strings, unlike the guitar which has 6 strings. The ukulele’s nylon strings are easier on the fingers. The sound of the ukulele is very soothing and calming. The instrument is popular for students who want to sing as well as play an instrument, as a student can learn chords on the ukulele to accompany their singing. Children as young as 5 years of age can start learning the ukulele.
